Somerset Scrumpy
It's all about the apples in Somerset at this time of the year and this haul from our trees has been processed into 20 pints of scrumpy hopefully! The alchemy is underway and in about a month we should be having our first tasting of Stocklinch Scrumpy 🤞🤗🍎🍎🍎🐛

Blooming' Marvellous
This is what welcomes you on arrival 😃 It's been blooming marvellous for weeks now and is the perfect distraction from the rest of the flower beds which are all looking a little bit tired and windswept 🌺🌸

Twinkly Lights
Ok, I can't lie.... the weather has been pretty disgusting at times this week ⛈️ though in between the showers we have had some lovely warm sunshine 🌞so not all bad. However it's definitely much more autumnal and it's dark by 7.30!! Time for the twinklies, candles, blankets and firepit I think 😊🌛✨🌌

Stocklinch Library
If you've not had a chance to make plans before you arrive, don't worry, here's a selection of books, maps & guides on places you could visit and things to do. Alternatively you could just stay put and use the binoculars to do a bit of bird spotting and star gazing, or read up on how to get hygge in the hut!

Berry Picking
'Tis the season for picking berries and these are flippin lovely 😊 If I can control my greediness and not scoff the lot, I'll have a go at making some bramble jelly for you which is pretty scrummy on a slice of toast.

Autumn Newsletter 2019
Welcome to the Autumn 2019 Stocklinch Shepherd's Hut Newsletter. Apparently autumn officially started this week which sadly means that Summer 2019 has come to an end. It has however been an amazing summer here at the Stocklinch Shepherd's Hut with lots of you enjoying soaking in the hot tub, swinging in the hammock, lazing in the sunshine, celebrating with your loved one, sipping Somerset cider, savouring the sunsets, spotting the stars, strolling over the hill to enjoy the h

Pub Stroll
Okay so maybe not tonight 🌧️ but it was a beautiful stroll over the hill to The Barrington Boar the other evening

Somerset Skyline
This evening from above the hut looking out across Somerset towards the Quantock, Brendon, Exmoor and Blackdown Hills. Even in the hazy autumn sunshine it's still a spectacular view

Somerset Art
This is a jewel in Somerset's crown and we are slap bang in the centre of a honeypot of wonderful artists, makers and craftsmen exhibiting (and selling!) over the next couple of weeks. And I would highly recommend a visit to venue 48 just over the hill from here for beautiful glass, ceramics and paintings - all unique and gorgeous!
