Birthday Boy

More surprise celebrations this weekend with the birthday boy being treated to a day with www.alexpoleironwork.com on an introduction to blacksmithing followed by stay here in Stocklinch. He was put through his paces and seemed to produce an amazing quantity and quality including a beautiful twirly whirly fire poker - could do with one of them for the firepit! Anyway, he was exhausted after all that and seemed very relieved to arrive here and chill out with his lovely lady. They did however manage a gentle mooch around the village and were fascinated by our second church sitting in the middle of a field (scene of recent sledging activity and temporary misplacement of mobile phone) and the disproportionate number of attractive medieval thatched houses here in our little village. Sometimes it takes visitors to remind you how pretty Stocklinch really is - come and see for yourself!
