Willowy Willows

Amazing blue skies at the moment and amazing growth this year on these willows planted around the edge of the orchard. We planted 100 1' whips 5 years old and now they're about 50' high 😃. Beautiful though they are, they need to be less lanky and willowy and more chunky before we can coppice them for fire wood for the hot tub. Maybe give it another 5 years before we've achieved sustainable fuel supplies for the tub - patience
