IF YOU FEEL LIKE BEING BUSY.....

Here's my response to a recent enquiry about local walks....

Yes, there are several lovely walks you can do from the Hut.

One is on the Stocklinch Shepherd's Hut website as a PDF found under Explore/ Walks https://www.stocklinchshepherdshut.co.uk/walkingandcycling

You can easily extend this walk and walk down into Barrington village with the excellent The Barrington Boar , National Trust Barrington Court and much temptation in Barrington Pottery Then carry on to Shepton Beauchamp with The Duke of York and wonderful Shepton Stores, Kitchen and Deli

Or walk into Ilminster via the Dillington House

Ilminster has great cafes & local shops - foodie, interiors and clothes inc Temperley London Head back through the Dillington Estate via The Green House Ilminster - excellent foodie shop & cafe.

Or walk to Perry's Cider in Dowlish Wake for their cider museum, tasting and shopping in their lovely farm shop and then head up the road to New Inn Dowlish Wake for a pint & spot of lunch.

Or drive 5/10 mins for a beautiful walk along the River Parrett starting at Hambridge or Midleney to Langport with tasty lunch options at Bridge Bakery & Barista and The Kitchen Langport

Before heading back to the Hut drive up to Somerset Cider Brandy at Burrow Hill cider farm - tours, tasting and shopping and amazing views across Somerset from the top of the hill.

These are just a few of my favourites - I've got plenty more suggestions if you need more ideas!
